Most practices that ask me about AI start by asking about chatbots. Most of them should start somewhere else. The first things worth automating are the ones your front desk repeats dozens of times a week: appointment reminders, intake forms, and the follow-up message after a visit.
Count the repeats
Spend one week writing down every task that happens more than five times a day. Booking confirmations, rescheduling calls, sending forms, answering the same three questions about parking and prep. That list is your automation shortlist.
Keep people where people matter
Clients choose a holistic or aesthetic practice partly because of how they're treated. Automate the admin around the visit, not the conversation during it. A reminder text can be automatic. A question about a reaction to a treatment should reach a person.
Automate the paperwork, not the relationship.
